Weight loss diet: Jimmy Carr used intermittent fasting and exercise to lose weight

Jimmy Carr will host shows for Channel 4 and Netflix on a regular basis. However, it’s not just his sense of humor that has gained attention over the years. How did he manage his weight loss transformation?

He credited the “exercise and protein pills” to have played a role in his slim figure.

“The cosmetic stuff is kind of nonsense, it’s feeling better,” he said.

“And there’s the exercise I do and the pills I take – I take a lot of pills as part of a health overhaul.”

Jimmy explained that his regular TV appearances motivated him to stay at his best.

“What I imagine in my head matches what I see in the mirror,” added the comedian.

“It’s the illusion of being on TV – you see yourself all made up, looking your best and well lit, then you look at yourself in the mirror and say, ‘Oof, this is disappointing.

“I took something like a protein pill. I had the hair transplant and they said, ‘You should take something to make your hair grow.”

Jimmy referred to a hair transplant he had in 2020.

In the past, the TV favorite has also credited intermittent fasting with staying in shape.

The diet provides that thin people eat all of their calories in a small window of time during the day and fast for the remaining hours.

Following the plan, Jimmy would have stopped eating after 6 p.m. and instead focused on having a heavy meal at lunchtime.

Intermittent fasting has been shown to help with weight loss, experts at Healthline.com explained.

They said, “A lot of those who try intermittent fasting do so for weight loss.

“Generally speaking, intermittent fasting will cause you to eat fewer meals.

“Unless you compensate by eating a lot more with other meals, you’ll end up consuming fewer calories.

“Plus, intermittent fasting improves hormonal function to aid weight loss.

“Lower insulin levels, higher HGH levels, and increased amounts of norepinephrine (norepinephrine) all increase the breakdown of body fat and make it easier to use it for energy.

“For this reason, short-term fasting actually increases your metabolic rate, helping you burn even more calories.”
