The Silverton Casino-Hotel, an off-Strip venue in Las Vegas, is planning a major overhaul to celebrate its 25e anniversary, but the games area will remain open while the hotel is upgraded.

The $45 million renovation will include 300 rooms spread across three Western themes – the Cowboy Kitsch, Livin’ Lodge and Rustic Modern collections. Silverton is modeled after the Drove Hotel in the historic stockyards of Fort Worth, Texas. Like the gambling venue, the Texas Hotel is owned by Majestic Realty.

Much like the Drover Hotel, Silverton’s designs include rich detailing with intentional, eye-catching touchpoints. Since its opening, the Drover has been recognized by United States today, Condé Nast, Forbes, and Travel + Leisure for its unique and elegant western glam design, fine craftsmanship, handcrafted fixtures and custom furnishings,” according to a statement released by Silverton.

Current game room amenities include the popular Las Vegas Aquarium, fitness center, whirlpool pool, and multiple dining options.

Silverton reinvented

Silverton, which opened in 1994, caters to both locals and cost-conscious visitors. The aquarium with the famous mermaid show and the aforementioned swimming pool make this place one of the most family-friendly out-of-strip casino hotels.

Most online guest reviews of the place are favorable, but those who are critical take issue with the rooms which are meant to have an old-fashioned vibe. This could be a sign that Silverton’s plan to renovate the rooms is well chosen.

As CEO Craig Cavileer puts it, it’s “an opportunity to creatively reimagine our entire Las Vegas hotel operations.” He adds that management has been in touch with previous guests regarding how best to spruce up the rooms.

“In preparation for the full renovation, the hotel and the adjacent Sway Pool Deck will be out of service from early August and are expected to reopen in early 2023,” the statement said. “The rest of the resort, including the casino, restaurants, aquarium, Veil Pavilion, Johnny Rockets, Starbucks and Bass Pro Shops, will remain open during the hotel and pool renovation. Additionally, Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village and The Berkley, Las Vegas – both located in the Silverton Village neighborhood – will remain open. »

Pahrump Packages

Silverton also plans to bring his brand to Pahrump, which is located about an hour north of the Las Vegas Strip.

The operator enriches its portfolio Silverton Ranch Casino, anchored by Marriott Springhill Suites. The start of construction is scheduled for later this year.

Pahrump is home to several local-focused casinos, three of which are owned and operated by Golden Entertainment (NASDAQ: GDEN), including the Pahrump Nugget.
