Plainwell Fitness Center reopens – Grand Rapids Business Journal
Fit Body Bootcamp in Plainwell has reopened, thanks to local entrepreneur and five-year-old stay-at-home mom Jessica Bowman.
The fitness center, located at 380 Oaks Crossing Blvd., Suites A and B, opened on Saturday, November 13, after the gymnasium under the previous ownership closed due to the impacts of COVID-19 in July 2021.
Fit Body Bootcamp in Plainwell is now open 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
During her years as a full-time mom, Bowman struggled to find a workout routine that provided her desired results, until she discovered Fit’s 30-minute group workouts. Body Boot Camp. After the fitness center closed, she became a business owner and reopened the space to continue her fitness journey and help others do the same.
“When the gym closed I was devastated,” Bowman said. “As a full time mom, the 30 minute workouts offered by Fit Body Boot Camp have really changed my life. I am now excited to embark on this new journey and provide the community with a place where people not only feel comfortable, but where they can effectively achieve their fitness goals.
The Plainwell location offers morning and evening sessions and aims to create an environment of a local, supportive family dedicated to the well-being of others and themselves while increasing confidence and self-esteem .
Trainers use low-risk blended training exercises and minimal equipment to help limbs burn fat and tone muscles.
