Mountainside Fitness Announces Plans to Open Location in Avondale

AVONDALE — Mountainside Fitness, Arizona’s largest local fitness center, announced this week that construction will soon begin on its 20th fitness center located at Park 10 near 100th Avenue and McDowell Road in Avondale. .

When completed, this will be the furthest West Valley location yet for Mountainside Fitness.

The Avondale location will have 40,000 square feet offering three separate group fitness studios, a multi-level cardio platform, a weight floor with an outdoor workout area, a large daycare center, well-appointed locker rooms with sauna and steam rooms and the M Café among other amenities. The layout will be similar to Mountainside Fitness’ recently completed Cadence and Paradise Valley locations in 2020-21.

“We are excited to begin construction on our 20th location,” said Craig Cote, CEO of Mountainside Fitness. “The new location comes at a time of exploding growth in the West Valley and we are proud to join a great lineup of other retailers and entertainment venues at Park 10.”

The project is being developed by James Kyung of Park 10 of Parkland Development and AR Mays is the general contractor. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. An official groundbreaking celebration will take place later this spring with a grand opening scheduled for late 2022.
