LegitFit strengthens its main strength with the acquisition of the UK fitness market Gofyt

LegitFit, a Cork-based fitness software company founded in 2019, has announced the acquisition of GoFyt, a Belfast-based fitness market company.

egitFit announced the acquisition as it prepares to present at the Techstars Seed Accelerator Demo Day in the United States.

LegitFit is a platform that helps fitness entrepreneurs by automating their workflows and reducing cancellations.

Currently present in 12 countries, the company was recently backed by Enterprise Ireland and Techstars, with the potential to raise funding in the future to further expand in Europe and North America.

Ryan O’Neill, co-founder and CEO of LegitFit, said the acquisition will give the company the opportunity to gain new customers. This will also help it in its strategy to penetrate the UK market.

“We have a major vision for the business here at LegitFit, and more, for the industry as a whole,” he said.

“With this acquisition, we believe we will be able to help thousands of other fitness entrepreneurs around the world start and grow their own successful businesses with all-in-one management software.”

O’Neill added that the pandemic had “tried” for the fitness industry, but he had seen signs of a return to normalcy.

GoFyt allows customers to find and book physiotherapists, massage therapists, personal trainers, and fitness classes.

Founder Andrew McCracken said the two companies complement each other in their prospects.
