Check Out This Members-Only Restaurant Inside Toronto’s Largest Fitness Club (PHOTOS)

Toronto is home to one of the largest members-only health clubs in Canada, where you can hit the gym, take part in workout classes, and even dine out.

In Liberty Village, just at 25 Ordnance Street, you’ll find Altea Active, and it’s not hard to miss. The state-of-the-art 89,000 square foot club features many amenities including a Technogym, the largest cycling studio in Canada, a huge hot yoga studio, a Himalayan salt lounge and more.

Members can work hard, relax and refuel at any of their four dining offerings, including Catalyst Kitchen & Cocktails, an elevated members-only restaurant and social lounge.

Their “sustainable, wellness-focused” menu, as the club likes to put it, offers a bit of everything from comfort foods to the healthiest foods.

Here’s a first look at what they’re up to for members to enjoy:

Members can find Catalyst just before heading up the stairs for their workout. There is plenty of seating, whether you decide to take a seat at the bar or relax on one of their benches.

When you find the perfect spot, browse their drink menu. They have a list of delicious cocktails, wines, beers and soft drinks like Careless Whisper.

Made with Seedlip Grover 94, Partake IPA, pineapple, lime and cinnamon syrup, this drink is easy and delicious. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something to cool off after an intense workout.

While you sip a drink, browse their food offerings. Appetizers, salads, main courses and chef’s plates, there is a ton of choice. For something bold with flavor and full of nutrients, try the Beets and seeds offering under salads.

It really packs a punch! It is made with arugula, roasted beets, goat cheese, apple cider vinaigrette, and sunflower, pumpkin, and hemp seeds.

Another great choice is something worth sharing. Below Chef’s plates, order a plate of roasted cauliflower. It looks as good as it tastes. It is made with olive oil, mashed baby potatoes, horseradish carrot puree and black olive vinaigrette.

Sometimes all we want is a burger and fries, and that’s fine. It’s a well-deserved reward after a class or an intense workout.

the Burger Catalyst is a strong competitor in the portable Category. You can choose from twice cooked fries, sweet potato fries, lemon microgreens salad or caesar salad on the side. The burger itself is 100% grilled beef, applewood bacon, caramelized onions, dill pickle, four peppercorn aioli and gouda cheese sandwiched between buns brioches.

What is a dinner without a show? Catalyst will also regularly host performances such as local musicians, DJs, and more. They have four duckpin bowling alleys, pool tables, air hockey, and pinball machines for extra entertainment.

If you want to dine at the Catalyst, swim, and be part of this huge luxury social welfare club, you have to join for a membership – promotional pricing starts at $57.95 bi-weekly.

Act fast before the spots fill in.
