Candler Park Pool
Open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and located in the quiet Candler Park neighborhood, this community pool is operated by the City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation. Entry is free and overall a great pool to take the whole family for a swim. With a golf course, playground, tennis courts and picnic pavilions, the swimming pool and the park itself are an ideal place to relax in the summer.
Also operated by the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation Department, the Grant Park Pool is open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (closed daily from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for cleaning). Nestled inside the shady oasis that is Grant Park, this pool is surrounded by beautiful trees that will make you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem in the middle of the city.
Did you know that swimming in Piedmont Park has been around since before the original bathhouse was built in 1911? This state-of-the-art aquatic center features four swimming lanes, a beach entrance with a current channel for floating, changing rooms and showers, concessions and more! It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends.

Ebster swimming pool
In Decatur, Ebster Park Pool is home to the Decatur Gators swim team and was built in 1981. Open to residents and non-residents, Ebster Pool features lap lanes, a deck ideal for sunbathing, a paddling pool for children and morning swimming lessons available.

Garden Hills Pool
With lap lanes and a diving board available, Garden Hills Pool is a public pool in the city of Atlanta located right in the heart of Buckhead. The Garden Hills Pool offers season passes, swimming lessons, and they even have their own swim and dive teams.
Open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., this Atlanta city pool is located less than five miles from downtown Atlanta, just off Cascade Road. In this large swimming pool you will find a perfect play area for children with water sprinklers to play and two water slides for a fun time.
You won’t want to miss all of the “top notch amenities” offered at the MLK Indoor Aquatic Center. This Old Fourth Ward natatorium is Atlanta’s first zero-entry pool, featuring four 25-meter lanes and a family recreation area. Open only Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., the facility also offers many other amenities like a fitness center, rock climbing wall, multi-purpose gymnasium, elevated walking track, event space and even more.
Tolleson Park Pool is tucked away in a quiet area of King Springs Rd. in Smyrna. It has two diving boards (1 meter and 3 meter) and a spray park for children eight and under. Open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends, this neighborhood swimming pool (and its park) is the ideal place for the whole family.
Alpharetta’s Wills Park Pool is ideal for swimmers of all skill levels. It features both a zero-depth entry leisure pool and a 10-lane competition pool with two diving boards (one meter and three meter) and depths from four to 12.5 feet. You can also find a water slide and interactive play stations for children, an aquatic center, changing rooms, a sun terrace, as well as many special events and activities throughout the summer season. Please note that Mondays are for residents only.
The Mountain Park Aquatic Center at Stone Mountain is packed with amenities for a perfect day at the pool that the whole family can enjoy. This aquatic center has an outdoor fun pool with two large slides, a river channel and an indoor swimming pool with a spectator area that can accommodate up to 500 people. Along with the two pools, there’s an activity building with a community hall and classroom, and a short 1-mile paved trail that circles the 18-acre aquatic center.
